1957 TR3A -SOLD

SOLD - Caution: buyer is re-listing the car on Facebook Marketplace without the caveats in my ad below, and states he is selling for “a friend”.  Please note, he is not selling it for me.  I simply signed over the ownership to him.  Any representations he makes are not on my behalf.

Bought a new ride so I am selling my TR3A this weekend if possible. I will only accept offers in person though.   Spent a couple thousand dollars and a year of work to get the car driving, with new brakes and brake lines, refreshed gas lines, various new and refurbished steering and suspension parts, etc,  and some custom work to make it look like a vintage racer.  Drove it last summer then parked it for further resto. Custom roll bar installed as well as new lap belts and custom front bumperettes.   Drive it as is or with minimal additional work to make it even better. The body is rough, with a solid but basic replacement floor on top of the old one and sloppy repairs to sills by previous owner, so if you want a show car, you would have to replace the tub.  I installed racing windscreens but the original windshield (in good condition) goes with it, as do the rear bench seat and additional padded backrest for it. I have not finished the seat restoration , but you can drive it with the ones I have.  Some additional frame repair recommended, and it was my next job; the price reflects these issues.    I even have the racing decals to put on if you want to continue.  I also have a soft top and tonneau cover, both in good condition, but the soft top frame needs nee webbing straps.   I am asking $12,500 for all of that.  You can hear it run, and I will put day plates on it so it can. Be test driven on Saturday for those who show up with cash in hand.    For extra cost,  I also have a racing louvered bonnet, brand new (never used) plexiglass wings for the side of that windshield, and the original set of wire wheels and hubs for the car (look fair and no broken spokes), and various parts that I would throw in for another $1,500.  Please call if you have further questions, but again, I only discuss offers in person, with significant cash in hand for a deposit.  Thanks for looking.
