Kootenay Car Show Run, Sept. 6 - 11, 2019 (Invitation Run)

Alan & Mary Lou Miles - VCB and Ken & Adèle Hedges planned the following run:

Day 1- Sept. 6 via HWY 3 to Grand Forks

Dinner in Grand Forks

Day 2- Sept. 7 - Leave Grand Forks and go to Nelson for the Nelson Road Kings Show. After the show we
travel up the beautiful Kootenay Lake to Kaslo, where we joined up with the Kootenay Branch of the OECC.

Day 3- Sept. 8- Kootenay Branch Annual Show & Shine along the lakeside in Kaslo. Members from all branches were there.

Day 4- Sept. 9- From Kaslo back through Nelson and on to Slocan Park and up the valley through
New Denver, Nakusp, and up the Gelena Bay Ferry and on to Revelstoke. We met up with some
in New Denver at the Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre, including Dave whose family was sent
to the Slocan Valley when he was about 5.

Day 5- Sept. 10- Travel to Lilloet via Cache Creek. Had a good Dinner in Revelstoke last night.
Stopped today in Kamloops for lunch, where the Thompson Valley Branch left us to go home.

Day 6- Sept. 11- Travel Duffy Lake Road, then Pemberton, Whistler, and to the Horeshoe Bay Ferry terminal.

We drove Duffy Lake Road and stopped at Joffre Lake
