New Branch Established in Kootenays
We now have a Branch in the Kootenay Area.
After the visit of the Brits round BC tour last summer, Cliff Blakey of Cranbrook was able to gather together enough members to start a new branch in the Kootenays. Cliff reports that the branch currently has 14 members and is adding new members every month. There is a very enthusiastic English Car fraternity in the Kootenays. The branch already has a car show or two in the planning phases for this summer, so stay tuned.

The OECC has about 450 Members and over 800 Cars
We have members all over British Columbia, as well as Alberta, Washington State, and we even have a member in Prague Czech Republic! Our members represent very diverse interests in British Motoring. If it has a motor, wheels and something to do with Britain, we have probably owned it, restored it, read about it, thought about it, or lusted after it!
Every Imaginable Kind of British Car
Of course we have lots of members who own MG's - all the way from a pre-war M-Type up through the T-Series cars, as well as A's B's C's and even a Magnette or two. Similarly we have lots of Triumphs - 1800/2000 TR 2,3,4,250,6,7 and 8, Spitfire, Vitesse and Dolomite. We have a strong contingent of English Fords, including Prefect, Thames, Anglia, Zephyr, Zodiak, Consul, and Cortina. There is also a good health serving of Jaguar and Morgan. If you have one of these marques there is always lots of people to lend a hand or give advice. How about the prewar cars? We have Rolls Royce, Bentleys, Morris, Vauxhaul, Raleigh, Austin, MG, Singer and Humber. We also have some not-so-old British cars made by Rolls Royce, Bentley, Land Rover, Jaguar, Mini and Lotus. So, what ever your interest joining a club is a great way to enjoy your passion for British Cars - you don't even need to own a car.
The Annual Dues to belong to a Branch of the Old English Car Club are $25 ($30 for the Thompson Valley Branch bases in Kamloops). Get access to the member's roster with cars, receive club and branch newsletters, attend many great events, and enjoy the fellowship of belonging to a club with over 400 other British Car enthusiasts.
